Akeneo launches PXM solutions together with release 2.3

On 26 June 2018, Akeneo announced a new release of their PIM system as well as several new products and modules that will lead to better PXM (Product Experience Management). These improvements have been introduced to provide excellent product experiences across all channels. These new PXM functionalities extend the range of Akeneo in terms of faster and easier onboarding of new suppliers and of course simplifying the management of an ever-evolving product catalogue. These PXM improvements are packaged in the new “Akeneo PIM 2.3” and two new modules: “Akeneo Onboarder” and “Akeneo PIM Accelerator”.

Akeneo PIM 2.3

Akeneo PIM 2.3 contains all kinds of enhancements to make marketing and e-commerce teams more productive. New built-in functionalities drastically improve the management of product models, product variants, searching and filtering in large catalogues as well as team collaboration.

Akeneo Onboarder

Akeneo Onboarder allows retailers and wholesalers to offer their suppliers a secure, cloud-based environment where they can easily share their product information without having to provide access to the core PIM system.

The Akeneo Onboarder contributes to the fact that the best possible product information is available for the right channel. Also the Akeneo Onboarder makes it much easier for suppliers to propose new products to retailers and wholesalers for inclusion in their product range. Ultimately, this contributes to a faster time-to-market, lower error sensitivity, more efficient business processes and easier scalability.

Akeneo PIM Accelerator

The PIM Accelerator is an add-on to Akeneo PIM that contains a predefined catalogue with sample data for specific industries. The first released PIM Accelerator is designed for fashion brands and retailers in the apparel, footwear and accessories industries. This add-on greatly speeds up the process of building the catalogue and offers more than 70 product attributes, 6 product family options and multiple family variants.

A predefined tree structure for categories and assets also comes with this Accelerator, allowing brand owners and retailers to enrich their product attributes much faster and easier using templates specially customised to their needs. Faster catalogue creation, increased team productivity and accelerated time-to-market are just some of the benefits that these PIM Accelerators can provide.
