The Bynder connector app integrates Bynder’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) with Akeneo’s Product Information Management (PIM), creating a uniform workflow for managing both product information and digital assets. The app makes it easy to enrich assets in Bynder with product data from Akeneo and provides an overview of the operations performed. Tasks within the app can be carried out manually or automatically for efficient synchronization.
The connector acts as an intermediary layer that periodically checks for changes in both Akeneo PIM and Bynder DAM. Based on a configuration that can be managed by the end-user, it determines which Bynder assets—and in what form—may be synchronized to Akeneo PIM. Additionally, the necessary product information is added to the Bynder assets.
When a Bynder asset is linked to one or more products in Akeneo, our connector allows you to automatically add product information to the asset in Bynder. Through our user-friendly interface, you can specify which product attributes in Akeneo (for example, the product title, short description) should be added to Bynder assets.
Additionally, you can link Akeneo product attributes to existing fields (metaproperties) in Bynder. This automatically enriches the existing taxonomy within Bynder through a translation process. This speeds up the time-to-market of your products, and ensures a more attractive presentation and better online visibility of your products.
